HOW BEAUTIFUL IS MY KERALA!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO GOD'S OWN COUNTRY!
1st
November,2009
SUNDAY
8p.m
Dear Friends,

Good Morning!
the new month,November begins today, the 53rd birthday of the state of Kerala.I proudly announce I am a Keralite .as a pravasi,i never miss a chance to describe n introduce the rich culture n traditions of my state to others.to be a guide is always my dream, narrating the history n happenings to the tourists.:)and Iam sure i will excel as a guide taking the tourists to the very core of the roots of Kerala, making them really feel this is the only God's Own Country!thrice a year i reach Guruvayoor,Trichur.i wait for the holidays and rush to be with my parents [my Achan is no more],spending the holidays in our ancestoral house.i don't know why ,i never went to see other states.when my siblings n my family forced me to take a break, i landed up in the middle east for the first n last time.:)
When konkan train takes me to God's Own Country, the very sight of
the lush greenery n rivers fill my mind with stimulating experiences.I admire the ladies, they are so beautiful, leaving their long hair, going to temples.through the window ,from train,i can enjoy the swaying coconut palm trees, alluring backwaters n emerald paddy fields.wow!the children ,all in crisp uniforms are going to school.I love guiding the tourists in the train where to visit n which places they should not miss etc.:)am i crazy?but i enjoy doing all these small n big things.
i love to wake up
on a mist-softened morning in Kerala.the sun has not yet risen above the palms.the birds are chirping.to laze around n lie down in the bed.but no way!with Amma n Nanda around,''early to bed and early from bed'' is the rule.:)

today is Keralapiravi, which marks the birth of the state, Kerala.the state of Kerala was created on Nov.1st.1956.Malayalees around the world celebrate Nov.1st as Keralapiravi.
According to Hindu mythology Parashurama, the sixth incarnation of Mahavishnu created Kerala.Parashurama flung his Mazhu[a weapon]from Kanyakumari[Cape Comerin] to the sea and the sea receded to create the land Keralam.beforehand, it was three inependent provinces named Malabar,Cochin and Travancore.Kerala originally got its name after the first ruler,Keralian, who ruled one of these independent provinces in the early centuries.
Kerala clings like a slim ,green leaf,to the western mountains of India. The Western Ghats run all down the Arabian Sea facing side of the triangular wedge of peninsular India.there is also an eastern ridge of mountains, the Eastern Ghats;and the oldest mountains in India, the Aravallis and their successors the Vindhyas, which, roughly, link, the Western and Eastern Ghats at the northern and of the peninsula.nurtured by its climate and terrain fertilized by a rich variety of cultural streams,Kerala holds a fascinating mosaic of people.Kerala is a land of coconut trees.Keram means coconut and the land of coconut is Keralam.
Thiruvananthapuram is the capital of the state.great old buildings, palace
s museums ,temples libraries ,the magestic mosque,Kovalam beach make the state capital beautiful.a trip to the beach is a must on every tourist's itinery.Kovalam Beach Resort offers you a wonderful stay. The Padmanabha Swamy Temple and Guruvayoor Sree Krishna Temple are opened only to Hindus.they attract thousands of pilgrims from all parts of the country.Sabarimala is world famous for the temple of LORD AYYAPPA.irrespective of cast n creed devotees rush to Sabarimala.November 16th is MANDALA KALAM,the holys eason starts for the devotees of LORD AYYAPPA.
Malayalam is the language of the state.Keralites are called Malayalees for the language spoken.the people form a well educated society.Kerala is the first state in India with 100% literacy.it wasn't long before the state government announced that its adult literacy drive had been amazingly successful.every single person can read n write.Kerala's women have had an enormous impact on the socio-economic profile of their state.Kerala owes a great debt to its clear thinking women.
There is no better way of getting to know people and their land than experiencing their festivals.some of Kerala's innumerable festivals, however ,stand out because of their uniqueness.the harvest festival,Onam is so popular with pookalam, folk dances n boat races gift giving and new clothes.the most famous of teh boat races is held in abackwater off the canal of Alleppey on the second of August.it is called the Nehru Boat Race because, the Cambridge -educated Jawaharlal Nehru,India's First Prime Minister, offered a trophy if such a race was organised, the greatest roar, however ,is reserved for the battleof the hundred-oared chundan valloms.you haven't seen water sports if you have not seen the battle of the chundan vallom of Alleppey.
Trichur is famous as the cultural capital of the state and for the temp
les and the attractive elephant march and Trichur Pooram.Lourdes Church is very popular.the famous festival of Thrissur Pooram is celebrated each year accompanied by a grand elephant procession.
the forested highlands of Kerala are at its great, protective back-bone.the Sahya mountains is lush and damp, capturing two monsoons every year, trapping the rains in its dense forests releasing those ocean distilled waters in a myriad streams and anumber of rivers.some of the forests are so dense that their flora
and fauna in places such as the mysterious Silent Valley have not been completely assessed and recovered.Periyar Wild Life Sanctuary gives the tourists teh best way of viewing teh wildlife.
it is said,''All Indian food is hot and south Indian food is tHE hottest''.a favourite breakfast dish is puttu.rice flour dough is layered with great coconut, like a ribbon cake and steamed in a hollow vessel.it is eaten with sugar or with mashed or with a spicy curry made of channa or chickpeas.iddlis and dosa are also much in demand.Onam feast is traditional eaten on a banana leaf;very hygienic and disposable.the thorans are gravy less dishes.avial, the most favourite dish is a mixed vegetable gravy thickened with coconut and yoghurt.your salivary glands will respond very enthusiastically to your first mouthful of avial.some other popular dishes are olan, kalan, pachadi, stew and sambaar.no sadya is complete without having a hot cup of payasam.they are porridge like sweets with a vermicelli or rice base cooked in milk and sugar or jaggery.
fish curry and tapioca make a wonderful combination.
Kerala boasts of many a dance form.the dances of Kerala are very expressive.the Kathakali dancers wear bright n voluminous robes.the dancers' identification with their characters is as complete as is that of any great actor on amodern stage.today ,Kathakali is ahighly stylised but an extra ordinary evocative art which combines chant, drama, dance, make up dress and gesture into a package that spins a compelling spell.Mohiniyattam is the dance of the enchantress.this is one of the beautiful dance forms. My Little star loves Mohiniyattam the best and she performs well.even a poem is written
on this dance form by her.
the chavittu natakam and thullal are also famous.
In a land where the coconut is king, many of the crafts of Kerala are woven and carved around the coconut.Coir, the protective fibre is used extensively in this sea-fringed state and if you drive from Kochi to Alleppeyyou will pass anumber of colourful roadside stalls with bright door-mats,wall hangings and carpets spread in attractive dispaly.Kerala lamps are very popular.the oil lamps are designed either to hang or to be free standing.a good selection of the range of crafts inclusing wood carving ,unusual bronzes and traditional jewellery is available.

Kottayam is the gateway o the Kuttanadu where the backwaters have been reclaimed as fields.for though the backwaters do reach out to the sea past other towns of Kerala, the character of Alleppey called by some, the Venice Of The East, reflects its watery hinterland most dramatically.there is nothing backward about the Backwaters of Kerala.
most of the keralites take bath twice aday.[I do].:)
in my earlier post ,I had mentioned about Aaranmula mirror.
Malayalam is consideerd to be very complete language it has fifty six alphabets and many more vowels.hey, non keralites, have you tried learning this beautiful language?
Kochi also known as teh Quen of the Arabian Sea is the commercial and industrial capital of Kerala.it has one of the finest natural harbour in the world.Ancient mariners from Arabia,China,Holland,Britian and Portuguese have all left their mark on this beautiful island city.
the lush greenery, the back waters, the swaying coconut palms, the green fields, Aha!Kerala is one of the most verdant state in India. It is the land with abundant natural resources, extremely fertile and a lush green throughout.rubber plantations, coconut gathering and fishing are important sources of livelihood.fishing nets sway in the breeze over the backwaters.Kerala is rich in spices.pepper creeper is a common sight..how can we miss the famous paintings of Raja Ravi Verma at the Chitra Art Gallery.Keralites are famous for their hospitality.the state has beco
me internationally famous for its unique and spectacular Kathakali ,the masked dance drama.the banana markets invite teh tourists.the rolling tea plantations of Munnar, the beautiful scenery, make a tourist not to miss a trip to this hill station.how can you miss the roosting pigeons an dthe setting aun which are the spectacular sights of Veli Lagoon?Bolgatty Palace Hotel,Bolghatty,Mulavukud,is a very popular haunt for tourists seking accomodation.skimming over the backwaters in power boats offers a delightful experience. The Jewish Synagogue,Mattanchery boasts of several finely wrought gold and silver crowns gifted to the synagogue.Kalamezhuthu is the pristine art form of Kerala.the martial art of Kalaripayattu from which is popular.Kerala is one of the most progressive state in terms of social welfare.Keralites enjoy a unique cosmopolitan outlook, which is reflected in their tolerance towards other races and religion.so,it has been called Kerala as God's Own Country.in Kerala,an entire range of fascinating experiences await your body, mind and soul.experiences thatw ill revitalise every facet of your beingAurveda offers you two kinds of holiday options,Rejuvenaative and Therapeutic.monsoon is the ideal time for rejuvenation.Kerala's equable climate ,natural abundance of forests[with a wealth of herbs and medicinal plants]and the cool monsoon season[june-october]are the best suited for Ayurveda's curative and restorative measures.
Friends,

THE SACRED TULSI VIVAH.........................

AND THE MARRIGAE SEASON BEGINS..............
29th October,2009
10p.m

Dear Friends,
Good evening!the day was hectic as usual.one more month is going to end n I'm eagerly waiting for November.it is special as my Amma's birthday falls in this month.:)when i vis
it Shree Ayyappa Temple, i usually get tulsi leaves as archana prasadam with chandanam[sandalwood paste].just the sacred tulsi leaves used to make me feel writing a post ,but i thought i will wait for the right occasion.and here it is.tomorrow is the Tulsi Vivah or Vadli [big]Diwali.it is held on Kartik shukla dwadashi-the twelfth day of the eight month of the Hindu calendar.A Tulsi vrindavan infront of the house is an integral part of Hindu homes.
In my house in the village, when we pray afte
r keeping the diya for tulsi,we chant a bhajan which Amma taught us.you may also learn the same n teach the younger generation.i must tell you friends,we really feel nice chanting prayers n positive energy is spread.
Namosthulasi kalyani,
Namo vishnupriye subhe,

Namo mokshaprabhe devi,
Nama sambad
pradayike.......................
On Friday,30th October,Hindu homes will stage the marriage of the Tulsi[Basil] plant, sparking off the community's marriage season.as per the legend from Hindu puranas,Tulsi o
r Vrunda was married to the demon king Jalandar.she prayed to Lord Vishnu that her husband be protected with the result that no God was able to harm him.however on the request of other Gods,Vishnu tok the incarnation of Jalandar and stayed with the unsuspecting Vrinda for one year.when the truth emerged after Jalandar's death,Vrunda cursed Vishnu and turned him into black stone[Shaligram] and collapsed.from her body emerged the Tulsi plant.Vishnu puja thus came to be considered incomplete without the offerings of Tulsi leaves.Lord Vishnu promises to marry her every year on this day.
on the day,the Tulsi vrindavan [the pedestal with a hollowed centre where the plant is grown] is cleaned, painted and decorate
d with rangoli[powered decorations] and flowers.in days of yore, women would build the clay pedestal on their own.
today only few follow this tradition just as f
ewer women today start their work day only after having a bath followed by the watering of the basil plant.sugarcane and branches of the tamarind and amla tree are planted along with the Tulsi plant in the vrindavan.
on Tulsi Vivah, ladies will light earthen lamps to mark Dev Diwali,as the vivah is also called ,as it is believed that Lord Vishnu, after a slumber of four months, awakens on this day and meets with his consort,Goddess Lakshmi symbolised by Tulsi.it is believeed that the soul of Vrinda resides i the plant at night and leaves in the morning.
the bride Tulsi is clothed with a sar
i and ornaments including earrings and necklaces.a human paper face with a bindi and nose-ring may be attached to Tulsi.the groom is abrass image or picture of Vishnu or Krishna sometimes saligram stone-symbol of Vishnu.the image is clothed in a dhoti.both Tulsi and Vishnu are bathed and decorated with flowers and garlands before wedding.the couple is linked with a cotton thread in the ceremony.part of the rituals involves married women lighting teh wicks attached to the pseudo stem at the banana plant and placing them before teh Tulsi Vrindavan.it's symbolic of them asking for a long ,healthy and prosperous life for their husbands.the tradition of worshipping the Tulsi vrindavan can be found from 1889.
in Maharashtra ,an importantritual is,when the white cloth is heldbet
ween the bride and the groom and the priest recites Mangal Ashtaka Mantras.these Mantras formally complete the wedding.rice mixed with vermilion is showered by the people on Tulsi and Vishnu at the end of the recitation of the Mantras with the word Savadhan, people clap signifying approved to the wedding.Vishnu is offered sadalwood-paste,men's clothing n the sacred thread.
a special feast consisting of puris, rice, sweet potato, kheer, moogachegathi and red pumpkin vegetable is offered as special naivaidya.

the religious ceremony takes place late in the evening.the entire religious rituals of a Hindu marriage are performed.various preparations made from pounded rice are offered to Lord Vishnu.puffed rice, pounded rice and pieces of sugarcan are then distributed, among the 'Dhangar' OR 'Gauvali' community Devi Diwali is celebrated with pomp and gaiety.tehy worship clean deities.
in North India, the wedding ceremony of the Tulsi with Lo
rdKrishna swaroop is celebrated and is followed by aprocession.they celebrate it for five days. sweets are sent to the daughter from her parental home, along with 'jodiye'[cotton thread to light lamp while performing lagna].
Friends,it is really interesting to know the rich traditions and culture of our country.try to be part of each and every celebration.
it's anu signing off.....
i still remember Muthassi even after losing her eyes sight used to water the Tulsi plant daily.and i fondly remember n love the ladies leaving their wet hair opened, wearing a Tulsi kathir on their hair.my image of a traditional beauty sums up with that.:) will you plant a basil sapling today?
the dedication of the song is from the old movie,''TULSI VIVAH''n it is dedicated to all the devotees of LORD VISHNU N GODDESS LAKSHMI.
wishing you a cool n peaceful night, waiting to witness the grand Tulsi Vivah opposite to my flat across the road in the Hindu family, and then the bursting of crackers, participating in the merriment,
requesting you to update yourself with the cultural n religious happenings, reminding anu loves one and all,

Dear Friends,

Good Evening!

Feeling nice after writing the previous post, the real romantic post.thanks,my friends, for your remarkable support in the form of comments n mails.:)

i was amazed to know how much people need to relive in the romantic moments.but that is the spice of life,na?

we don't know who will make our day?today i was surprised to know the peon in our office wants me to sign in all circulars first.hey, she considers my signature auspicious.:)cool!God is really great n kind n inspiring me to inspire others.

i receive morning mails n calls daily and i just want to share this forwarded mail with you.friends,if you have a woman in your life ,oh,yes,Mother dear is there-please try to love her wholeheartedly n respect her,all the women in your life!the going will be good.it's your time to give not to take.:)agreed?

and marriages are in full swing.to all those who care for your women and who forgot to do the same, please read this post.

Tomorrow you may get a working woman, but you should marry her with these facts as well.

Here is a girl, who is as much educated as you are;
Who is earning almost as much as you do;
One, who has dreams and aspirations just as
you have;
One, who has never entered the kitchen in her life
just like you or your Sister haven't,
One, who has bravely agreed to leave behind all that, her home, people who love her,
to adopt your home, your family, your ways and even your family name.

One, who is somehow expected to be a master-chef from day, while

you sleep oblivious to her predicament in her new circumstances, environment and that kitchen.
One, who is expected to make the tea, first thing in the morning and cook food at the end of the day, even if she is as tired as you are, maybe more,
and yet never ever expected to complain;
to be a servant, a cook, a mother, a wife, even if she doesn't want to;
and is learning just like you are
as to what you want from her;
and is clumsy and sloppy at times and knows that you won't like it
if she is too demanding, or if she learns faster than you;
One, who has her own set of friends, and that includes boys and even men at her workplace too, hose, who she knows from school days and yet is willing to put all that on the back-burners to avoid your irrational jealousy, unnecessary competition and your inherent insecurities;

Yes, she can drink and dance just as well as you can,
One, who just wants one thing from you,
as you are the only one she knows in your entire house -
your unstinted support, your sensitivities and most importantly - your understanding, or love, if you may call it.

But not many guys understand this...... ?
Please appreciate "HER"

I hope you will do....

Friends,
when we care for each other, let us show our feelings!express freely.feelings are a living language that keep us in touch with each other, not as mere spectators but as participants in life!sometimes a gift can be that simple and that profound.the important thing is to show you care.:)
I'm really excited to make someoneelse's day.today is deep's parents' silver wedding anniversary.May God shower HIS blessings on them, thus turning silver into golden anniversary.and it is really sad that both the sons are away on this special occasion.this is real life.one unexpected call to them made them so happy.

AN EVENING BY THE SEA SHORE

It was party time,folks!

25th October,2009,
Sunday,
10 p.m
Dear Friends,
Good
Evening!yesterday evening there was a wedding reception!after a long gap,i was attending a public function.:)it was the wedding reception of Ajish n Pinkey held at Kenilworth Beach Resort n&Spa,Utorda Beach. The long deserted road lined with coconut trees, reminded me of our village roads in Kerala. the car ride listening to the soft music, was very soothing to mind.nestled in the white sands of Utorda beach,The Kenilworth Beach Resort sprawls in across fourteen acres.the beautful location, the illuminations, the newly wedded couples, the glamorous crowd n the fireworks .............gradually one gets into the romantic mood.:)

It's the lush green scenery,
The cool n refreshing air,
beckons one n all,
To journey through the land of music.
Amidst the sea breeze,

The decorated tables with candles,
Red carnicia n white flowers,

The sea facing lawns n the grand reception,
The soft n hot drinks n the snacks,
the greenery all around makes

Us think of love ,the most soft feeling.
Of the all the guys she has met,
He is the one she can't forget,
It really amazes her these days,
How someone can make her,

Feel so special n being loved;
With each passing day,
He brightens her days.
She loves him in silence so deeply,

Noone hears as she is so mysterious;
But she hears him daily,
Whispering the three magic words to her.

They walked by the sea shore once a while,
He holds for hands and hugs her,
When her silken hair flows in the wind,
Touching his face with a fragrance,
And a gentle brush of her fingers,
Sending shivers down his spine,
They were engrossed in deep love,
Forgetting the world watching them.
Their eyes reflected pure love,

Longing for one word, one look n one smile,
And her heartbeats go faster.
Hey,they are simply amazing.
Under the clear sky,on a moonlit night,
He hugged her softly n kissed her,

And whispered the magic words of love.
That was the most memorable gift she had received.

It was like the raindrops in summer,
Moonlight for the ocean,
Nectar for the bees.
The fireflies floated in the air,
And that was an unforgettable night,

To cherish forever!
she has music in her heart,
She feels everything right,
When she listens to his voice.
She feels good always, with a bright smile,

She has become kind to all,
Loving the small n big creations of GOD,
He has brought colours to her life,

Giving her hopes for a better future.
Her search for someone special ended with him;
And he strongly feels,
She is the only light in his life of darkness.
Tell me friends,is this love?
Everyone experiences at some time of life?

Friends,
attending a party and losing oneself in the thoughts of romance n writing a post afterwards, sharing the feelings with you, i feel great.:)
this week is going to be very hectic with submissions n evaluations.i have to cut short my time on posts n visiting your posts.but trust me,my mind is always with you.wishing one n all a romantic night, recollecting your love story, reminding you anu loves all of you,
it's anu signing off.........
do you want to share your love story?:)
today's dedication is to the prince charming n to all those have love in your hearts..........KAHO NA PYAR HAI..........:)SAY IT ONCE n enjoy the video.

WILL YOU BE MY MIRROR?

GIVE A TRY!:)
23rd,October,2009
10 p.m

Dear Friends,
Good evening!just standing in the balcony watching the calm sea, enjoying the amazing sight of the illuminated ships, the reflections of lights in the water, the loud music going on the street, the bursting of crackers make me feel nice to write a new post.:)in my ancestoral house,we had beautiful huge size mirrors!as children we spent most of the time infront of mirrors, enjoying
our own reflections, telling ourselves we are really beautiful.
just the word mirror, reminds us the witch who looked into the mi
rror and asked the well known verse,''Mirror, mirror on the wall.......''
here,on the top i have given the photo of the famous AARANMULA VALKANNADI.my friends, this is a world famous mirror n try to own one when you visit Kerala.

Everyone of us have to tell,
A story about our lives.
Look into the mirror,
And see our reflections.
Mirror on the wall,
Tells us stories of faces,
That have gazed on them;
Some happy n some others blue.
We want the mirror to reflect the best images,
But how can it do the magic,
If we are gloomy n depressed?
Friends,there are no magic mantras,
That will impart joy n happiness,
For that, develop positive attitude.
Mirrors are really fascinating,
They hold on an element of magic.

the fairy-tale does not exist now,
Still we want the mirror ,
To tell us we are the best.

It shows us our clear image,
It makes letters look so funny,
It bounces sunlight into,
A bright spot on the wall.
Remember,mirrors never lie,
They can show only the truth,
It is a common superstition,
That someone who breaks a mirror,
will receive seven years of bad luck.
Mirror is considered to be very auspicious,
A symbol of prosperity n good luck.
Mirror reflects our souls,
So breaking the mirror will break souls.
Cheer up n smile to the fullest,
How beautiful we look in the mirror!

Start the day on a positive note!
Realise our true potential,
Be at your best being kind to others,
Let's be blind to other's faults,
Start praising a little more!
There is a saying in Malayalam,
If you have a good friend,
You don't need a mirror!
He/she will correct you when you are wrong,
Guiding you to walk through the right path.
Now cheer up n give me a cute smile,
Whistle a new tune n look at teh mirror.
Hey,we look so wonderful,friends,
With a twinkle in our eyes.:)

Friends, according to an old Chinese proverb,
''You cannot prevent birds of sorrow from flying over your head, but you can prevent them from building nests in your hair''.
Be the mirror to others.remember life never has a smooth path
.Let us tackle our emotions with care.A talk to someone special will serve as an outlet to your pent up anger, frustrations n helplessness.anu is always with you.:)
it's time to sign off.tomorrow is a working day.wishing all of you a wonderful weekend, reminding you,anu loves all of you, wishing a peaceful dreamy night,
it's anu signing off......
Hello,.............................,will you be my mirror?i want the reflections of love,trust,understanding,inspiration n friendship.:)and you know i accept only,''YES''.

HAPPINESS SHARED IS DOUBLED

PLEASE SPREAD HAPPINESS!

21st,October,2009
wednesday
6 p.m
Dear Friends,

Good evening!these days sun is very bright n feeling real hot!my exam is postponed to November so,relaxed for the time being but work load is more.this week is going to be very tough with evaluation process.still,i can't be away from you, sharing the happenings n updating the events.
Morning i received a mail with a thought on happiness,n i really felt writing a post on the rare feeling!:)

''Being happy doesn't mean everything perfect,it means that you decided to look beyond the imperfections''.

Happiness is a state of mind,
It is the total sum of,
Peace,contentment love n satisfaction.

Happiness is a feeling
Of inner peace n satisfaction.

When we win our love,
When we gain something we value,

When we feel secure in our family,
Under the shelter of care n love,
Of our parents n siblings,
When we get the unexpected mail or call,

From the one who makes a difference in our lives,
When a cool breeze brushes your cheeks,
Reminding his /her's feather touch,
When we see a bud blooming,
Bringing fragrance to the memories,:)
When we see n feel the new born baby,
Feeling warmth n love at heart,
Looking at the early morning dew drops,

Losing oneself in the first kiss that we've received,
Enjoying the rain drops falling on the green leaves,
Longing for the tight hugs we need,
Listening to the soft music played in the dim light,
Yearning for the beloved's presence,
We can be happy always,
By gaining inner piece.

Hapiness is the goal of every human being.
Worries will chase away our happiness;
And if we continue to worry,
Happiness escapes,friends.
People shun them,

On whose faces worries are written.
Let us keep ourselves busy,
And forget our worries,
Most of the incidents we fear never happen.
The past is over,we can't do anything,
We must develop a positive n cheerful attitude.
Let us face our worries n be realistic.
We should not blow up our worries,
Out of proportions, but put them in right places.
Expressing worries in writing,

Releases all the tensions.
Then we can think clearly n constructively
We must take life as it comes,
And do the best we can.
Let us look at the bright n good side of things,

The positive side will make us happy;
Think of solutions,not problems,
Watch comedies that make us laugh,
Devote time for good reading,
Appreciate yourself for what you've done.
Each day do something you like,
Do one act that make others happy,
Say a kind word,help others,
Give a small present to someone you love.
Don't envy people who are happy,
Associate with happy people.
And smile,smile from your heart.:)

A few examples of self motivating statements are,
''There is no time like present'',''I will not quit until I'm finished'',''I am just the person to do the job'' and ''That didn't work, but i've another idea''.

''Even if happiness forgets you a little bit, never completely forget about it''.Jacques Prevert
''Happiness often sneaks in through a door you didn't know you left open''.John Barrymore
''Happiness is the soundtrack of my life''.Grey Livingston
Friends,
life is too short, crying or laughing we have to live;so why can't we laugh n be happy?:)
i really wish each n every reader of sincerelyyours must have a smile n be happy when you leave my space.:)
tomorrow is my best friend's birthday!wishing you all the best n a memorable day, seeking GOD'S blessings for your prosperous, happy n long life,be happy..............
its' anu signing off........
anu loves all of you!

THE ENCHANTING FLOWERS

THAT GIVE FRAGRANCE TO OUR HANDS N HEARTS..........
17th,October,2009
6p.m
Dear Friends,
Good evening!so Diwali was grand with Lakshmi puja invoking the Goddess of wealth.various floats depicting the demon Narakasura took part in competitions.Diwali is an occasion to illuminate our lives and burn the evils-the Narakasurs-that pervade our lives.Diwali is an ancient festival that heralds the triumph of good over evil.this is the beautiful festival of lights. two trucks are parked on the road, decked with marigold garlands.when i saw the marigold strings,i thought of writing a post on flowers.since i wanted to do one.:)

With today's fast -paced life style,

The presence of flowers triggers,

Happy emotions heightens,

Feelings of life satisfaction,

Affects the relationship in a poitive manner,

Flowers have an immediate,
Impact on happiness,

And is the best medium,

To convey and express our feelings.

Flowers touch our lives elegantly,

With their vibrant colours and tender petals,

Spreading fragrance all around,

Bringing cheer in our lives;

In my ancestoral house,in the village,

we had the small cute pink flowers,

My amma loves it alot.

The bougain villa i still remember,

the shoe flowers,kumkuma poov,

The jasmine that blooms in summer after the showers,

The champak,the unda thechi[ixora] n mosanda,

Flowers of different colours n smell,

In trichur,we have other flowers,

Pavizhamallipookal n roses,

Marigold n jamanthi flowers,

Jasmine n mandara poov,

More flowers mean more butterflies,

More birds n more honeybees;

A bouquet of fresh flowers,

Express love for dear ones.

After morning bath,we pluck flowers,

For decorating the idols of Gods,

And i love doing this ritual.

Flowers make intimate connections,

Its presence increase contact.

A flower was offered to me,

It was a beautiful red rose,

With a jasmine strand around the stem,

What else can one expect

From your loved ones?

My love is like a red rose

That's newly bloomed yesterday.

And the dew drops enhance the beauty,

The life is an everlasting flower,

It's always in constant bloom,

Let us like the bright n pretty flowers,

We may be of different colours,

The thorns will pass through,

Flowers encourage our spirits,

And they express emotions.

They convey the message of,''get well soon,''

Flowers let you know,''I miss u'',

They express the romance,''I love you''.

Just a fresh flower gives you entry,

Straight in to your beloved's heart.:)

A flower can just tell,''You are special''.

They bring a warm n hearty smile,

Even on a stern n serious face,

Flowers build the bonds so easily,

They do bind the broken hearts.

Fresh flowers can enhance,

Any chosen setting,making lasting impressions,

Lending a special meaning ,

To many of the most important occasions,

A fragrant bouquet or a colourful arrangement,

Of the fresh blossoms,

Enhances any decoration.

Now i recollect the beautiful floral arrangement,

In the church daily the nuns change,

In the church of Little Flower Convent,

The fresh flowers were artistically arranged,

I used to go spellbound,

With wide eyes opened admiring,

The vases filled with flowers,

My mind was filled with happiness,

I was flying like a butetrfly,

Then in Little Flower College,

Can you believe,friends,

I had won a prize in the competition,

Of fresh flower arrangement.:)

I love the fields of sunflowers n marigolds,

i admire the nishagandhi that blooms at night,
Beautiful flower beds with rare specimens of flowers,

Filled my heart with happiness in Ooty,

the surroundings are pleasant n charming.

And i must tell you friends,

Each star has a particular plant,

We must find out that n plant it in the compound.:)

I n friendship's fragrant garden,

There are flowers of every hue,

Each with its own fair beauty,

And it's gift of joy for you.

''When love first came to earth, the spring spread rose beds to receive him.''

I'd rather have roses on my table than diamonds on my neck''.Emma Goldman

''In joy or sadness, flowers are our constant friends''.

''When you have only two pennies left in the world, buy a loaf of bread with one and a lilly with the other''.

Friends,i have a flower to gift each one of you.and i'm eager to know which is your choice for me?:)

Wishing you an energy packed week, sharing the good night sms with you,

''Tiny stars shining bright,

It's time for me to say goodnight,

So close your eyes gently''.

It's anu signing off..................
