PRABATHEY,KARA DARSHANAM............................

29th,October,2010
 Friday,
        Dear Friends,
A lovely and pleasant good morning! The day is bright and beautiful after the showers! It's sunny today.
''The morning star whispers to dawn, tell me that you are only for me''.''Yes'',she answers,''And for that nameless flower too!'':)
To make the day, wonderful, smooth and lovely you may say the following prayer.Amma taught me and I want to share the same with you.
When you wake up in the morning, open your and look at the palm and say the following prayer.
Karagre vasudhe Lakshmi[Goddess Lakshmi resides on the tip of our fingers]
Kara Madhye Saraswathi...[Goddess Saraswathi resides in the middle of our palms]
Kara Mooledu Govinda[Lord Vishnu resides at the bottom of the palm, near the wrist],
Prabhathe..................Kara Darshanam.[Have the darshan of the palm in the morning].
After chanting the prayer,we must touch the floor thus, offering prayers to BHOOMI DEVI.[The Goddess of Earth].
I went to Kottappuram Siva Temple. The main prathishta is Lord Siva and right behind the sree kovil is Devi-like Mammiyoor Temple. As it is Siva temple, there is no siveli[taking the idol of God/Goddess out of Sanctum Sanctorum either in hands or on the elephant by the main priest] and elephants.Poojari gave me prasadam -red rose petals, white flowers -offered to SIVA-sandalwood paste, avil and malar on a tender palntain leaf.I felt so nice.We must apply chandanam with the ring finger of the right hand among the eyebrows on the middle spot. After the temple visit my mind is cool and I  am at peace with myself.
It's really nice to see ladies in traditional wear-the two piece-mundu and veshti.
There is a Champaka tree in front of Lord Ayyappa. The yellow fragrant flowers fall down in front of the kovil of Lord Ayyappa as the natural offering.
.Nagaraja shrine is full of green flowering creepers and climbers. The roof of the shrine of Nagaraja will be always opened.
We have Nagaraja Temple in our tharavadu. The yearly pooja is just over for Nagaraja on Aayilyam star of Kanni Masam.[Malayala Masam].Aayilyam is very auspicious for Nagas.
I feel like going for a long drive enjoying the lush green fields and swaying coconut trees.
My friends wonder why do I talk a  lot about Thrissur.I can't write a post without mentioning different temples, aspects, the beautiful people and the life style, the shops, the must-visit places.
Many of my readers may not knowThrissur is the cultural capital of Kerala,God's Own Country! This is the city with strong cultural heritage. The city encircles Shri Vadakkunnathan Temple with a vast area of greenery around. The world famous Thrissur Pooram takes place here culminating with a grand fireworks.Pulikkali is also one of the main attractions on fourth day of Onam. The city has all the facilities mainly educational facilities,Medical and engineering colleges, law college, hospitals and religious places and much more.Kochi International Airport[Nedumbassery] is just one and half drive from here.Thrissur can be easily reached from all parts of the country by rail and road. The world famous Guruvayoor Temple is only forty five minutes away.Peechi Dam,Athirappilly waterfalls, water theme parks,Kerala Kalamandalam are near to this city.
Thrissur is a land of temples and elephants. And tell me who doesn't like elephants? They are wonderful and amzing elephants.

''A single word spoken at the time of anger is so much poisonous that it makes us forget hundred lovable conversations within a minute!''
So,think twice before shooting the hurting words. They take away your sleep.

Dear Friends,
Thrissur rocks!:)Tell me now, when are you coming to Thrissur?
Evenings it rains daily. This is Thulam Masam;my favourite month.
It's Anu signing off........
Listening to my favourite song,
 ''Njanoru chinthu..........,kavadi chinthu........
Raagam puriyathillai...............''
sung by the famous playback singer,K.S.Chitra,
in the popular Tamil movie,Sindhu Bhairavi,
It's Anu signing off.................
Anya,dear,I miss you a lot.
'Instead of thinking, about what you're missing,
Try to think about what you have,
That everyone else is missing,
Life will be happy''.
And live the life in full.Chaar din ka hain ye zindagi..........:)
May I thank you my friends, for your love,
Special care and concern,
Praying for better tomorrows,
May your dreams come true!
 Wishing you a beautiful weekend,
Reminding Anu loves you dil se,
                                                  Sasneham,

EMOTIONAL TURMOIL CAUSED BY AMEN..................

27th,October,2010
 Wednesday
Dear Friends,
A beautiful rainy morning!Since yesterday night it's raining! It's so lovely to feel the raindrops on my face while plucking the flowers. So fresh and cool! Before plucking the flowers I seek permission of each and every plant.Nanda taught me this.:)Thus I talk to the flowers  and share my thoughts in the wee hours of the morning.
The   vote counting  is going on and celebrations have already started. The sound of the crackers and the happy announcements in the loudspeaker make the  city noisy again.
I went to the city for shopping.I am lost without Nanda. She is still in New York. The auto driver was so enthusiastic and started giving a lecture on the pros and corns of the leading party.I had to just respond,'ha,hu,yes,oh!'At home,Amma updates about the lead of various parties.
Last time I saw COSMOS closed but did not know it had  changed the location.I was desperate to visit.Today I saw the notice on the wall and found out the new place.COSMOS is one of the must -visit places for the book lovers, in Thrissur. The new place is so  spacious  with neatly arranged books on shelves. It is situated opposite Indian Coffee House in North Busstand,Paliyum Road.I love and I love to spend most of my time with books.Anything and everything suits me.But I must have something to read. While walking, eating, lying down,I need someting to read.Reading and music excite me.With music in the background,I am all in high spirits.Music stimulates my mind. It gives me positive energy.Amma always tells us,blessed are they who can sing. And amma's subject for professional course was music. When I reach Thrissur I never miss the songs in Malayalam aired by Aakashavani. It's so nice to listen to the melodies.
Nanda and me studied in a reputed Girls' Convent High School and later in the college run by the same  management. We were always friendly with nuns.We used to kneel down in the church before attending classes.Again for my professional course I studied in an institute run by Christians. There is a beautiful chapel attcahed to the institute.I know about retreats. And now I work in astate which is popular for the beautiful churches.:)
Most of the teachers were nuns in our school.Amma's student and an ardent fan Rev.Sr.Modesta is our family friend. She never misses to greet us on  important days of celebrations.Even yesterday we talked to her.She is so pious, dedicated and a real good soul.
In the book shelf when I was browsing for the new arrivals,I saw this popular book-Amen-The Autobiography Of A Nun!The Author is Dr.Sister Jesme who left the Congregation Of Mother Of Carmelafter three decades of service. On 31st August.2008.Sr.Jesme left the Congregation. The authorities' repeated attempts to have her declared insane, she says left her no option. She was the Principal of St.Mary's college ,Thrissur, one of the best colleges of Kerala.I had read about her adventourous step of publishing such a book  last year.I admire her.And I am so happy to have the same book of my own now.Searing, sincere and sensitive ,Amen is a plea for a reformation of the Church and comes at a time of its growing concern about nuns and priests. But I never knew what was in store for me.
Sr.Jemi who is 52,lives alone in a flat in Calicut now.Her book alleges sexual abuse and homosexuality is very high in Catholic Church in Kerala. The Church tried to bribe her not to publish the book. One sister told she would sit in the chapel and recite rosaries so that all her books would be burnt away. But Sr.Jesmi finds a safe and strong Anchorage in Jesus.
Spirited and fun-loving,from agood family, deeply rooted in Catholicism,Jesme was drawn to religious life at seventeen after a Retreat at junior college. The best part I loved in this book is that moment-the moment Jesme realised she will be the bride of Jesus Christ-the divine call.
It's a beautiful experience.
The relation of Sr.Jesme and her Amma is very touching.
After reading Amen I don't feel comfortable;I can't accept the facts and faults.I am disturbed and confused. It is a brave and shocking account of life within the enclosure.
I don't want to mention the shocking experience Sr.Jesme had from a priest in Bangalore. It is disgusting and shocking.
From childhood Jesus is with us in our poojaroom.Only my parents can do such wonderful things. In an ancestoral tharavdu, noone can think of keeping the photo of JESUS along with Hindu Gods.We have Bible at home with Bhagavat Geetha. Our caretaker is a christian. My Ammamma built a house for his family near our tharavadu. He was allowed to build a house of his choice. There is a church in my village. The church bell tells us the time.We celebrate Christmas.Even now Amma has a rosary along with rudraksha mala  under her pillow.Rosary is a gift from Sr.Modesta.This is a special and cute rose rosary from Italy along with a pendenant of Pope.Sr.Modesta's nephew-Fr.Pius Chittilappilly has brought this sacred rosary. We are so grateful.Sister.We respect the holy rosary and it gives us mental strength. At my workplace my key chain has Jesus and Mary, again a gift from Sr.Modesta.When we go to meet her during Christmas,we go to the chapel and kneel down and pray.
I love the beautifully decorated altar.I love confessions. I like the way my catholic friends get purified after confessions.
As Sr.Jesme hopes and prays, let the fresh breeze enter the closed walls and purify the stinking corners.
Sr.Jesme writes about the corruption,by way of donations for college seats;sexual relations between some priests and nuns;class distinctions whereby the chedathies or poorer  and less -educated sisters, did menial jobs and awide gap between comforts and facilities enjoyed by the priests and nuns.
The book affirms Jesme's unbroken spirit and faith in Jesus and the Church ,living like a nun,but outside the Four Walls of the convent.
This is a first of its kind in INDIA.Those who are interested may read..........
AMEN-THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF A NUN..........
My friend agreed to give me her phone number. What should I say?
I don't know.
                                                                                                           It's Anu signing off.....................

ZARA SA PYAAR,LEKIN CHEENI KUM!

24th,October,2010
 Sunday
Dear Friends,
          Good Morning!Oh!Yes,still from Thrissur!:)
I can wish you the most beautiful morning with all enthusiasm when I am with Amma.
Beautiful blooms and cool drizzles, the chirping of these tiny birds, the feeling of the fresh air make me write these soft and sweet feelings again!:)
Counselling gives me ample themes and many friends ask me to write their real life experiences.
This post is dedicated to Naveen and Karthika.

He is the one who told her,
''I hate to admit that I like you!"
What a way to let someone know he likes her!:)

''Live through feeling

and you will live through life.

For feeling is the language of the soul,

and feeling is the light of truth.''

When a cuckoo sings  near my window,
When a soft cool breeze brings the  fragrance,
Of the blooming jasmines,
Tell me yaar how can I stop myself from writing this post?

Thoughts of Karthika as felt by me............

Each friend with a definite thought attached
People are unpredictable,irrational,fun and frustrating,
But there are some friends
Who silently make our lives better.
To that good soul who touched my life,
Let me pen down the true feelings ................

Someday I  want to meet you,
And go for a long stroll,
Walking on the street lined by green trees,
Let the Mayflower trees shower the blooms on us;
Let the bees hum and  birds chirp,
And the bright-eyed blossoms smile at us!
She makes you skip your heartbeats,
And you do always have a slip of tongue.
And he has a rose in his hand a neat little note,
Written so carefully burning the midnight oil!
It's so delightful to get wet in the rains,
And it's more delightful when your beloved holds your hand!
In him she found her soul,
Together forever and never to be apart!
The emotions are of excitement, cheer and tears of joy!
There isn't time,dear,not much time
To wander through all the woods,
And the sea to sail upon!
She sees the sparkle in your eyes!
And the depth of her love in your heart!
Expectation destroys love,
The love born out of attraction is short-lived.
She wants to grow in her love.
Please don't ask for the proof of love!
He is the source of her joy.
The moments with him strengthen her inner-self!
She loves him in silence,
And he feels the love in her breath!
She taught him love is beyond proof!
He doesn't like her express her love with words,
He just wants to feel it!
He likes the natural growth in a gradual way!
He can never ingnore her,
As the presence is getting stronger with days!
Happy she is when he is with her,
By words or calls !
He has become her world,a colourful world,'
Where happiness,peace and goodness prevail!
Grey as the favourite colour
Parrots as the birds he likes,Roses, the gifts of his love,
She lives in a beautiful and amazing dream world!
Love is in her actions and life!
And now he can his real love within her!
Let us sing the song of love,
Let us play the tune of love!
She doesn't have to repeat,
Oh!My Prince Charming!''I LOVE YOU!""

HATHI MERA SATHI!

22nd,October,2010
Friday
Dear Friends,
A cool and lovely evening from Thrissur.
Today while going to temple,I saw an elephant walking by.The mayhout was relaxing on the top of elephant smoking a beedi.I love elphants.Right from childhood I have been loving elephants.Being born and brought up in an ancestoral tharavadu  near the famous Giruvayoor Temple,I always had chances to be with elephants. Guruvayoor is the abode of Lord Sree Guruvayoorappan. Amma has written a poem on the sad passing away of the beloved elephant of
Lord Guruvayoorappan at 3 a.m on Guruvayoor Ekadashi day on 2nd December,1976.He was cremated with sandalwood and the female elephant Lakshmikutty wept so bitterly. The sweet memories of Gajarajan Kesavan -literally the king of all elephants-enthrall the hearts of the elephant lovers worldwide. The mammoth physique, his intelligence and devotion  to the Lord are very famous.
Now every year on Dasami Day,Gajarajan Kesavan's memory is honoured when at 9 a.m a procession of about forty elephants starts from Thiruvenkidam Temple about a kilometer away.A nadaswaram player walks before asmall elephant holding the photograph of Kesavan and leading a single file procession of other elephants. They folow the route via Parthasarathy Temple and east nada making a complete round of the temple tank and then to Kesavan's statue in the compound of Kousthubham-south nada. Here, all, except the first two elephants line up in the in the road, facing the statue. The other two center the compound where before assembled dignitaries and all the elephants raise their trunks-the biggest elephant places a garland on the statue. The smaller elephant makes a pradakshina around the statue and the ceremony is over-except that all elephants are given special food.
Ekadashi is very sacred to Lord Guruvayoorappan.Hindus observe it as a day of fasting, regardless of which deity they favour since the major benefit to anyonewho regularly observes Ekadashi is that they are granted Moksha.Guruvayoour Ekadashi vilakku has already started.Ekadashi falls on the eleventh day of Vrischikam[mid November-midDecember].This day is very auspicious.A month long music festival-Chembai Sangeethostavam -begins.

Now Lord Guruvayoorappan has more than sixty five elephants in Punnathur Kotta where the elephants are taken care of.These elphants are the offerings of devotees to Kannan. The function is known as nadayiruthal  with the spreading of two clothes one white and one black,a large dark blanket. The elephant is being bathed before the ceremony. The area inside the temple where the dedication will take place will be washed and then smeared with cowdung [chanakam].Over this is spread first the black and then the white colth and the following will be arranged nearby.a nirapara-a full heaped measure of paddy grains, two plantain leaves one with two and half mazhis of rice, the other with offerings for Ganapathy;jaggery, cut pieces of coconut  and two bananas.Four lamps filled with wicks and  coconut oil are lit and placed at each corner of sanctified area.
The elephant is brought into the temple and as soon as it has been cajoled to lie on the clothes a shanku is blown. Thus the elephant is dedicated to the Lord. The goad and stick are given to Mallissery Namboothirippadu.the main priest[Melsanthi] then sprinkles the elephant with sanctified water, places a huge garland over its head and smears its forehead with either kalabham or sandalwood paste. Now it is time to name the elephant chosen by the donor. The donor deposits Rs,4 lakh with Devswom for the maintenance of the elephant.
Punnathur Kotta is about three kilometres away from Guruvayoor Temple. All the elephants were shifted to Punnathur Kotta in agreat procession led by Gajarajan Kesavan on 25th June,1975.In the month of Karkidakam special monsoon treatment is given to elephants in many temples known as Aanayootu. Each elephant receives patta[the green leaves],with a daily diet of five kg of cooked ricw, two kg of green gram, five hundred gm of Chyavanaprasam[aurvedic medicine]fifty gm of ashtachoornam ,eight bioboost tablets, six Live 52 tablets,50 multivitamin tablets and turmeric and salt. And the expense will be more than Rs.7 lakhs.
Next time when you visit Guruvayoor temple never miss the golden chance of having the visual treat of so many elephants at Punnathur Kotta.
Elephants are the biggest animals,
So majestic in each step,
With huge ears and a long trunk!
Having a shade of grey,
They can run so fast!
They live in herds
And they love bathing with mud and water.
They fight with their tusks!
It's so wonderful to watch and have fun,
The way they suck water and shoot to their mouths!
They are so wise and loving,
Helpful by all means!
And to share a secret,
It's my long cherished wish,
To sit on an elephant.:)
I feel jealous looking at the mayhouts,
Sitting on a huge animal forgetting
The world around them.
At times and most of the times I have started getting fed up of the falsehood and trechery that prevail in this world.
But just the sight of an elephant brings back the spirit and my I start to have the secret dream again!:)
And I love knowing the names of elephants and when I address them sweetly by their names, they sway their trunks and move their ears. One's name is always sweet to  ears, nah?:)
It's Anu signing off...
I learnt E for elephant,
Requesting to take care of animals and birds,
Feed them as and when you can,
They will be always grateful to you,
Expressing love and care!
Anyways better always better than the faces hidden behind masks!
Anu loves you dilse.........
                                    A cool and lovely night,
                                        Still it's raining in Thrissur!
                                                                          Sasneham,
                                                                                   Anu

THIS NUMBER DOES NOT EXIST.................

Wednesday
Dear Friends,
Thrissur often  gets rains  and the atmosphere is always comfortable.Cool drizzles are falling down and the refreshing breeze is blowing.Hey,can you feel the soft and soothing breeze on your cheeks?
One feels the positive energy in the early hours of the day.The plants are full of new blooms.Butterflies are busy sucking the honeydrops.
Wherever you look, the lush greens give a visual treat. I feel like celebrating each and every moment.
Here's an extra cup of coffee.Taste and tell me.:)
''Everyday starts with some expectations;but everyday ends with some experiences''.Let those experiences enrich our lives.Let us be grateful for the valuable lessons that life gives us on a daily basis.
Many friends asked me, ''Did Niranjan come back to Meera?''[Love Is Beautiful But Painful].
Meera is out of station taking a break from the difficult phase of life. So,Niranjan reached me.He had read my post.As I don't want to spoil Meera's holidays,I thought of writing a post based on his reply and his present attitude.
Friendship is a precious gift in our lives and I am always with my friends as and when they need me.I want to hold Meera's hands,I want to hug her and console her while revealing the bitter truth. But as you know she is so impatient to hear the matter. This post is dedicated to the lost love of my dearest friend,Meera. And this is for the gentleman who touched Meera's life and left her for more colourful and better future.
I know it is difficult for you to accept the truth;
But right now dear, this is the message for you.
The distance did really take you away from him.
As he  got busy with his work,
He forgot the someone special who waited for him.
New atmosphere and more responsibilities,
Thirst for new connections and fresh friendships,
Changed  his life gradually.
Trust me,he was not looking for it.
Her warmth wrapped him
Meera,right now he is happy,
I have seen the twinkle in his eyes.
It is painful to walk alone in the path of love,
Cherishing the memories left by the beloved.
We don't know where we are going,
I realise dear, you are left lost and lonely,
Drifting away your thoughts move with the breeze!
Between the miles when you need him,
I'm not very sure he will be there for you.
Meera,he told me it's difficult to go back,
And to be honest he sees just a friend in you.
He doesn't want to hold your hands,
And embrace you with pure love and warmth.
Recalling the past is heartbreaking.
He will not face you and he doesn't have the guts,
To let you know it's all over!
He will not pass through your life once again,
He is already lost in someone else.
She is through out with him as his colleague
And the present best friend.
He told me she leaves him with smiles to bed.
She has gifted him those moments of moments,
What changed him completely.
He has deleted your cell number
And he has changed his sim card,
The old mail id does not exist now.
I know he was the world to you,
But trust me miracles do happen;
And a world of surprises is in store.
Meera,life is like this
The memorable moments may be sweet and priceless;
But I must tell you dear, forget and forgive.
Try to gain strength from the past.
The dreams are not shattered
And God knows the best!
He has his own plans.
Let you have only the good memories
That Niranjan has left for you!
And that's the way it should be.
Dear,you are so blessed
With a kind and loving heart,
You are so beautiful like a fresh lilly;
I pray,dear and I must tell you,
More sunshines and rainbows await you
While the cold wind is so soothing
Together we will share the moments of grief,
As shared sorrows make them lighter.
I love you and you are my best friend.
Turn to nature,the wonderful nature,
The star studded blue sky,
The vast blue ocean and the high mountains,
Enjoy and celebrate,my dear friend,
God has gifted them to us
With unlimited love!
Now,give me a smile,a broad and sweet smile,
Cheer up my friend, you're my darling!
Anu needs you forever!:)
Friends,
The short and long moments shared together
We do keep them safe in the depth of heart.
They will be always special in one's life.
Think hundred times before you kneel down
And gift the red rose to proclaim your love.
We have no right to break someone's heart
And for that have a heart full of love and care.
Each tear that you cause will not go un noticed
By the great Lord resides up in the sky!
It's Anu signing off...................
Requesting you to brighten your outlook,
And start seeing things in different light,
Create an atmosphere of happiness
You will be blessed forever.
Never break the loving bonds,
Speak soft and tender words,
They bring life to a soul.
Anu loves you dil se.................
Yaar,it's raining again.I love Thrissur when it rains.
And I am going out for a stroll...................:)
                                           Sasneham,

                                                        Anu

REFLECTIONS ON VIJAYADASHAMI

17th,October,2010
Sunday
 Dear Friends,
Good Evening!
Happy Vijayadashami  To All Of You!
Morning I went to Kottappuram SIVA TEMPLE.Sarasawthi Pooja was going on for eight days. Devotees had brought avil, malar, plantains, jaggery, flowers and incense sticks as offerings. Many people had come to pray. The main prathishta is Lord Siva with  Ganapathy,Devi,BrahmaRakshassu as upadevathas.Idol of Krishna is kept in glass case.
Special stage is built for Saraswathi Pooja.Goddess Sarasawthi is adorned well with floral garlands and jewellery. The ceremony of Vidyarambham[beginning of getting knowledge]is held on Vijayadashami day,the last day of Navrathri.Vidyarambham is done for kids between two and three yeras old.
Initiation into the world of syllabry usually begins with the writing of the mantra,''Om Hari Shree Ganapathaye Namaha!''Initially the mantra is written on sand or in atray of rice grains. Then the priest will write the mantra on the child's tongue with gold ring.Writing on grains denotes the acquisition of knowledge which leads to prosperity.Writing on the tongue with gold ring invokes the grace of the Goddess of learning,by which one attains the wealth of true knowledge.Nowadays Vidyarambha is celebrated by people of all castes and religions.
Mookambika Temple,Kollur[Karnataka,Panachikkatu Saraswathi Temple,Kottayam,Thiruvallakkavu Shastha Temple[Thrissur] are famous for Vidyarabham.
Ladies were wearing the traditional two piece set-mundum veshty- and I wore a traditional saree with green border.Jasmine flowers were hung inside the auto rikshaw and the fragrance was so strong and spread everywhere.I enjoyed the trip in the rikshaw.
After coming from temple Amma  and I wrote on the rice grains. After reading the devotional books, the day began with much enthusiasm.
Yesterday was Mahanavami and I went to Pookunnum Siva Temple.I wanted to see Bommakkolu.iI love to pray here.Goddess Parvathi,Ganesha,Lord Krishna and Swami Ayyappa are upadevathas.
This is a huge temple and cultural programmes are held daily during Navrathri .The festival NAVRATRI[nine nights]symbolises different things in different parts of India, but is essentially the celebration of victory of good over the evil. The main motive is to worship the nine incarnations of the Goddess for wealth, health, knowledge and prosperity.
Knowing the traditions and following the rituals give a lot of happiness and peace of mind.Festivals are always an occasion of knowing our culture in abetter way, enjoying the celebrations and feasts.
I hope and pray May Goddess Saraswathi Bless You with wisdom and knowledge.
I have sad news to share with you.
My freind Anya's [check my bloglist on the right side] Anya's beloved hubby Wilfred passed away on October 14th after being hospitalised for a period of thirteen weeks.Anya was running around taking care of her hubby, aged parents and young daughters.
Anya, dearest,we join you wholeheartedly in your sorrow and please trust-God Knows the best.At times,we can't ask ''Why did this happen to me?''We just can't.
May Wilfred's departed soul rest in peace.Time heals the hurts and wounds and the makes the depth of sorrows lighter.God will give you mental courage to face the trials and tribulations of life. You are never alone. We are with you.Time will lessen the deep grief encircled you.
It's Anu signing off.........
Friends,
Time and tide waits for none.
Forget the ill feelings that you have against your friends,
And do reach out as and when possible.
Reuesting you to pray for Anya,

AN EVERGREEN FRIEND

13th,October,2010
Wednesday
Dear Friends,
A beautiful Good Evening from Thrissur-the land of Pooram!Regards from Amma and Nanda to all of you.I reached today. The train journey was really comfortable.I had a good company of ladies and they were returning from a pilgrimage to Kedar Nath,BadriNath temples. One of them was my babhi's college friend.I had to just lend my ears. And they talked non stop.
In God's Own Country,
the lush greens greeted me in the morning. The fields were full of water and somewhere I could see the fresh white water lillies.
But the rains have stopped here and it is too warm. But Thrissur is simply beautiful with so many temples  and churches. The whole city and its warmth make one so fresh and energetic. The cool breeze is really refreshing in the evening and the garden is full of various flowers like roses, mandaram, pavizhamalli pookal, kanakambaram, thechi, tulsi etc. For me flowers are of utmost importance as friends are attached with flowers. Each flower reminds me my friends. They spread happiness and fragrance.
It's Thrissur magic.:)
Thank you so much my dearies for your feedback and comments for the last post.Your words inspire me a lot and I love reaching out to you.I was telling Amma about your comments and your encouraging words. She thanks you wholeheartedly.Sucharita[Sleeping Beauty]surprised me by dedicating her new post to me-The Joy Of Giving.Thank you so much, dear.
It's really wonderful to feel the love and care of unknown people.I am blessed.
Navrathri festival has begun.Devotees will keep the books and musical instruments tomorrow evening for Pooja in front of Goddess Saraswathi.Pandals have been erected at various locations where cultural activities are held .Sunday is Vijayadashami.I love to be here for festivals. But I will be missing my daily morning visits to temple as Nanda is leaving tonight for Newyork.:(I enjoy my outings with her.She is a darling sissy who advises, guides and pampers me.[sometimes pinches too for talking while she drives].
Friends,
As we travel the journey of life,
We do meet people of different character,
Some are sent our way by God!
Talking is key to our existence.
It's always better to share our feelings.
Once you talk them out,
I'm sure we will feel much better;
Loneliness will not creep in.
At times we do feel lost,
And losing control of our lives.
Someone who is not part of the problem,
Can suggest an unbiased solution.
Learn to trust and love,
And someone will understand your point of view.

Friends are the real treasures of life.
The true friends know each other,
To share,comfort,love,trust and respect.
They add joy and subtract sorrows.
To have such a good friend,
We must be the same to someone.
I can't think of a life,
Without my dear friends.
Together we go through,
The moments of joy and sorrows.
How can I forget your support,
When I needed the most!
The distance doesn't keep us apart!
As you're always in my heart.
The gentle touch and warm embrace,
The tender smile and the soft voice,
I hold your love in my heart,
As a treasure to be cherished forever.
Many times we have argued and fought,
I knew it wasn't right;
I used to miss you a lot.
But my ego never allowed me to say the same.
But that helped us to know each other more.
But you must know,dear,
Your friendship is priceless to me.
''I made a list of evergreen friends in my life with a pencil. But when I reached YOUR name,I used a pen because I  knew I will never have to change it.''[Did you ever know?]:)
Thank you so much for being the one.
Friends,
We all need companionship and cheer and whose thoughts are always near.Be the source of inspiration and courage.
''Do not value the things you have in life, but value who you have in your life''.They are your blessings.
Feeling tired and sleepy now.For some more days I will be here.
 It's Anu signing off.........
Waiting for some showers,
Requesting you to be good listeners,
Thus helping someone to feel better,
Requesting the readers who have love for writing,
Start your blog  on Vijaya Dashami Day,
And those who have left  writing,
Please do make a come back.
May Goddess Saraswathi Bless one and all!
Reminding Anu loves you dil se,
And nothing shoud stop you to say the same.:)

LOVE IS BEAUTIFUL,BUT PAINFUL!

5th,October,2010
Tuesday
  Dear Friends,
           Good Evening!
It's cloudy now.A cluster of tall coconut trees are swaying gracefully. The dark clouds may bring showers.
I am so busy with the added workload and just need a break to relax.Blogging is a wonderful hobby that brings back the energy and it helps me get connected with the world. But my comments in other blogs are getting deleted after five minutes of being published. It's sad that after spending time to write the comments,my comments are invisible.Hey,who is taking them away?:)My friends wonder I stopped reading their posts and that is why comments are not to be seen.Friendship comes straight from the heart and how can I stop visiting your blogs?I enjoy reading your posts.Trust me.
I have brought work home and I may have to sit late at night. But right now, when the cool showers are going to fall on earth I feel like talking, talking and talking.:)Neelamma[my help]speaks only Kannada and I speak Hindi. So,the communication is based on simple words of broken Hindi and Kannada. But I want to talk for long without a stop.:)
So,shall we start?
This post is based on a true love of my friend,Meera. As she knows her prince charming[Niranjan] does not miss reading my posts, she wants me to write the past and the present.

When we are happy,
The world around seems to be so beautiful......
When our hearts are filled with love,
Even the tiny things of nature,
Brings a glow on our face.
He was a gentleman to his finger-tips.
His words were soft and loving.
It was always comforting to be with him.
He had real charming ways to make her happy.
Hope filled her days with enthusiasm.
He was always with her,
To share the joy or pain.
Life is always beautiful,
And he made it more beautiful
With the true love and care for her.
She looked forward for the evenings,
To watch the sun set at the sea shore.
The sand was cool underfoot,
Soft,silvery and stretched for miles.
They enjoyed the cool touch of water,
That caressed their feet so beautifully.
Holding hand in hand they spent
The lovely moments in silence.
In the depth of the silence,
The message conveyed was,
''I love my eyes when you look at it,
I love my name when you call it,
I love my heart when you love it,
I love life when you are a great friend to me''.
Gently he lifted her face and kissed her.
She felt the fire in those passinate moment,
And returned his kiss with tenderness.
The very thought of him made her
Heart skip a beat.
They never missed the moonlight stroll.
It was love from the heart.
But fate had other plans for them.
A change in job made him move on,
And the busy schedule and new life style,
Kept him away from her.
She had mails in the beginning,
But that too came to an end.
As her eyes started to fill,
And when it is difficult to control her emotions,
I have to console and instil confidence.
She has the best of memories,
To treasure and cherish till the end of her life.
But she wants to make it very clear,
She doesn't want to be so easy of approach.
Life has become bitter and miserable.
But she is getting strong as days pass by,
And she will have reasons to smile again!
Niranjan, get back and just let Meera know,
You still love her with the same depth.
Friends,life is always beautiful!
Even if there is no one to tell you that,
Begin the day with this great feeling.
Yaar, just chill!:)Wait for brighter happenings in life..................If you feel you have not expressed your true feelings till now,do it now.Tomorrow may be too late.Even if you'have moved on,keep in touch with the heart you've left behind.Someone pines for your love.Did you know?
''You can't wrap love in a box,
But you can wrap a persn in a hug,
A hug delights,warms and charms
That must be the reason why God gave us arms!''
When did you give the last loving hug?Ask yourself.

some know you.....
some remember you..
some like you.......
some understand you.
some care for you.
but.. a TRUE FRIEND
does all above & always hopes the best for you.

It's Anu signing off.............
Friends,
                Getting things right is important,
But twists and turns do occur in the journey of life.
Hold the hands of the person who wish to,
Rather than expecting them to hold yours.
Reminding you,Anu loves you dil se,
Wishing you a lovely and wonderful night,
Filled with all the sweet dreams,
                                            Sasneham,
