THE SHORT AND SWEET TWO LITTLE WORDS.........

24.11.2010
Tuesday
Dear Friends,
           Good Evening!
It was a misty morning and the sky was amazing with lovely blue shade mixed with white clouds.I don't know how long I was looking and admiring the clean and clear sky.A cool breeze was blowing gently. My heart was filled with gratitude and my eyes were moist with tender feelings. My Little Star has done this wonderful painting.
I feel so happy and excited.I am really taken care of with these wonderful visual treats.I feel blessed.
Let me take time to thank God for the simple things in my life.
Every morning,I wake up to see the vast and deep blue sea.The green hill is on one side.At night the illuminated ships paint the sea with various hues. These sights never cease to amaze me.The clear blue sky,my cute little sparrows, pigeons and crows, the colourful fragrant flowers in the garden make my days. What more can I ask for?
My God,I know each dawn ushers a new chance in life.I get to undo all the hurts and get the energy to relive my life.I have learned wellbecause some have opposed, corrected and encouraged me in time.
My heart is filled with gratitude. When we forget to live our lives in the right way, enjoying the simple pleasures of life.Do we thank daily to the wonderful gifts God has bestowed upon us?Why do we become forgetful to thank for the blessings we received?
I am so grateful for my loving and wonderful Amma and family without whom this blogging would have been impossible.:)
''I would thank you from the bottom of the heart, but for you my heart has no bottom''.
I 'm so hapy to dedicate this post to my friends across th globe. You must know, how grateful I'm to all of you and how much you mean to me.
I go musical when I think of you. Please add a suitable rhythm while sharing my feelings and thoughts.:)Look,my little blue birdie is listening.

It's Thanks Giving Time Of the year
A time to spread and share happiness and care.
Joy is doubled when we share it.

Inspiring and cheering me to the core.
Most of the time I forget to say,'Thank You',
For the beautiful pictures and images.

You trust me and always share with me,
What is bothering you.
Thanks a bunch for not letting time or distance
Affect our valuable friendship.
Thanks a lot for being honest with me
For the confidence you have in me.
I am sure,you won't let me,
To be left alone and get lost........
Thanks my dearies for your appreciation
And the pat on my back,
For my thoughts reached you.
You have repaid me in kind for my harsh deeds,
Henceforth I will be sensitive to others.
There is no time to argue and fight,
Hoping for the best, let me move along.
Let me kneel down now,and with moist eyes,
Let me say my silent prayers,
With a heart full of glee and gratitude.
Friends,believe me.....prayers and only prayers,
Have more power to grant our wishes.
Just for once,remove your mask,
And say the two little magical words...
''Thank You"!
Friends,
Let us congratulate Amity, the wonderful blogger[Dreams Are My Reality]on her second blog anniversary.I love reading your touching lines, dear!

''Something that has always puzzled me all my life is why, when I am in special need of help, the good deed is usually done by somebody on whom I have no claim''.William Feather
Why do we find it difficult to say Thank You?Our friends may be waiting to hear these two short and sweet words.
''Every person is important. It does not matter you play the violin, the flute, the cello or the drums;you're still part of the orchestra''.
Friends,
Trust me.
'All that is given cheerfully and generously to another comes back to you and enriches your life in unexpected way''.
I have experienced this.
Thank you for being the great friend
In every possible way!
I hope my smile touches everyone.
I feel your love in my heart.
And tonight,before hitting bed,
Take time to think it over,
How many people you have ignored;
And reach out to them,
Make them feel nice,
They do make a lot of difference in your life!

Getting Back The Sunshine With Auspicious Days......

21.11.2010
Sunday
Dear Friends,
A beautiful and pelasant morning to all of you!I was appreciating and admiring the lovely sea.Sea is calm like my mind. There are many ships and boats.Whenever I feel low,I spend timein my balcony looking at the sea and the mountain on the right side.God has gifted me these natural wonders.
Vrischikam Month[Malayalam] has begun. This is the season of the year when devotees go to Sabarimala, theabode of Lord Ayyappa after observing a pious and pure lifestyle.
Bhoothanatha Sadananda,
Sarva Bootha Dayapara,
Raksha Raksha Maha Bhaho,
Sasthre Thubhyam Namo Namaha!
Yesterday was Muppettu Saurday,a very auspicious for Lord Ayyappa. Many devotees have worn the sacred Mudramaala. This is the season of devotion and sacrifices. We can see devotees wearing the black dhoti and mudramaala. The temple looks beautiful with the facelift and decorated with the garlands of marigold..Stage looks wonderful.Nadappura is offered to Lord Ayyappa. There was a bhajan by a troupe from Kochi on the very first day of Mandalam.
Early morning I went to temple to have darshan of Lord Ayyappa having abhishekam.Ghee abhishekam is very important. The first day there was abhishekam with twenty one dravyas.
People have given up non-veg food, smoking and drinks. It is a real change.Cooks have come from Kerala and now food is prepared in the temple. Most of the days there is grand annadaanam.
This is the only time of the year one can have parippuvada from the canteen. When I left Kerala,I used to miss parippuvada a lot.
Guruvayoor Ekadashi was on the same day.And Bakrid too.Tulsi vivah is also over.As I have written posts on all these important events and celebrations last year,I didn't write again. After Diwali, and Tulsi Lagna, the season of weddings begins in the state.
Tripurari Pournima is celebrated on the 15th day of the first fortnight of the Hindu Month of Karthika. The festival that symbolises the victory of good over evil is also called the Karthik Pournima.Legend says that the demon king Trpurasur had been harassing the Gods, and afierce battle ensued in which the asura was killed. The day was Karthik Pournima.Since then people have been celebrating the day by lighting lamps in temples dedicated to Lord Shiva.Tradition also says that Lord Shiva's son the God Karthikeyan should also be venerated on this day.As part of the celebrations people set afloat lit lamps in the river.
The temple premises will be illuminated with lamps and the Palkhi of Lord Vithala is taken out in procession to the river Valavanti where after carryingout the pooja, lamps are offered to the God and set afloat on the river.
Earlier, earthen lamps placed within small bowls made of leaves were floated.Later the shape of the leaf bowl or drona changed to take shape of a boat.
Today, very decorative and artistic models of boats are crafted out of cardboard and thermocol.A boat cotest is organised.
An effigy of Tripurasura will be burnt on the island in the river Valvanti and Sarang[balloon lamps] are released on the occasion.
The core  of the festival, worship of lamps[deeparadhana] and offering of lamps to God remain unchanged.

Friends,
''Let love fill your heart removing hatred.
When hate is in your heart,
There is room for nothing else
And when happiness fills your heart,
There is room for endless happiness''.
We all  need the love and soothing touch
To save us from the worries of life;
Let the fingers of your beloved,
run through your hair, when you cry!
Let the sun shine again in your life.........
It's Anu signing off..........................
 If there's nothing to say,
Then it's the end of a relationship.
Long silence will not help
Nurturing a relationship.
When the space is too wide,
It's difficult to build the bridge.
There should be something to look forward.:)
Today,on this auspicios day,
Look at the full moon .........
Let your heart fill with love and compassion.
Make a positive wish for the smile of others.
Please light a lamp and remove the darkness
You will be the light in someone's life..............:)
Reminding you Anu loves you dil se,

YOU ARE IN MY THOUGHTS........................

15th November,2010
Monday
Dear Friends,
A beautiful morning to all of you!
November rains lash the land bathing it in shades of verdant green and sprouts of colours.Plants are decorated with newly bloomed flowers. It's lovely. My sparrows are chirping a lot.
Somebody wants to say something to me.But he is far away, across the seas.Still he is closer to mind and thoughts. His absenc is stronger than the presence of others.
There is no connection.Still it's a beautiful friendship.I never felt silence so soothing and bonding the relation strong.Oh!yeahsilence is golden.
Life is getting busy and busier. Balancing  life, blogging and work is getting tough.I get suffocated when I can't pen down my thoughts. There was a joint performance at Kala Academy by the percussionsit Bondo, sarangi master Ustad Dilshad Khan, tabla master Ustad Fazal Qureshi and pakhawaj player Bhavani Shakar and they entertained music lovers amazingly.I missed the rhythm.I just want to forget myself in the ocean of music.
   Eid Mubaarak!

And in the earth,

BACHE MAN KE SACHE..............................

13th November,2010
Saturday
 Dear Friends,
                Good Evening!
It's a beautiful evening! As it was a holiday[second Saturday]I had time to relax. The morning visit to Shree Ayyappa Temple, the peaceful and pious ambience filled my mind with positive energy.I did an interview by a fellow blogger and will be giving you the link on first December when it will be published.
Today's post is dedicated to My Little Star,Minooty and all wonderful children of this universe.I love you my,dearies.
Universally,Children's Day is celebrated on 20th,November,but
in India,we celebrate CHILDREN'S DAY tomorrow on 14th,November to mark the birth anniversary of legendary freedom fighter and the first Prime Minister of independent India-Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. As a tribute to his love for children,Nehruji's birthday is celebrated all over India on children's day.
Here is a rare photograph of Nehruji n Rajivji!he was called Chachaji by children.14th is a day to remember a leader, who in his quiet but determined way, laid thefoundation to convert a nascent nation into world power.According to Pundit Jawaharlal Nehru wanted every child is special and has tremendous potential to influence development of the environment around him/her. On the occasion of children’s Day every child should be made to feel special and make the occasion memorable for him.
Children make us to relive our lives.Let us give our time to them.Give a little love and you will be drenched in love.

November14th is all about,

Innocence,joy and laughter,

The day dedicated to the minors.

Children are the greatest gifts of God,

Born to love n trust,care n concern.
Children's day is to celebrate childhood,

Tribute is offered to all children,

They are the most wonderful creation of God.
They win our hearts by their innocent smiles.

Children are loved by one and all.

We hold them close to our hearts,

Sing them songs n play with them.

The dirty diapers and dampened sheets,

A loving cuddle and a beautiful smile.

Childhood is fun and exciting,
It leaves unforgettable memories ,

In one's life to be cherished forever.

How can one forget the tricycles n bicycles?

The classwork n the homework?

The ponytails,golas and gilli danda,

Childhood is the best phase of one's life,

Free of societal responsiblities,

And financial burdens.

I often feel like going back tochildhood,

Reliving the best time of my life.

The happy and good times

To be in the care of my loving parents,
Siblings and relatives of the joint family,

Growing up among many kids is real fun,

Learning to value everything in life.

Asking hundred and one 'why' questions,

Playing a number of outdoor games,

Feeling the pleasure in sailing paper boats,

In the rain water flowed in the courtyard,

The much awaited moments to attend the festivals,

The excitement in going for a circus and movie,

The birthdays and new dresses,

The delicious feast prepared by Amma,

The wonderful pookalam put for Onam,
The love for animals and birds,

The happiness in getting first rank ,

The prizes won in the competitions,

The teamspirit and the healthy competitions,

My childhood has left a lot of,

Rich experiences to be treasured forever!

Friends, this day reminds to each and everyone of us to renew our commitment to the welfare of children and teach them to live by their dreams and values.all over

the country, various cultural, social and even corporate institutions conduct competitions for children.children these days can engage in avariety of activities that help to bring out their talents.from offering a variety of hobby classes to hosting camps and workshops, schools today, are actively encourage all around development in the students.even parents are leaving no stone unturned in developing their child's creativity.we must treat a child we must treat a child like an individual with his own views and opinions.children today have a variety of interests and various avenues of excersing them.from television to video games to outdoor activities, they have too much to do in too little time.:)

''Of all created things,the loveliest

And most divine are children''.

''Children will not remember you for the material things you provided but for the feeling that you cherished them''.

''While we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is all about'.:)

But then entire populace of young ones that are left ignored this special day are the downtrodden street children. sad fact is that, only a section of the country's children have an opportunity to celebrate this day.let's do our share of showing
kindness and causing a smile to the less fortunate!let children enjoy and live life to the fullest!childhood should not be a burden or nightmare! There are special kids with special needs.they have special schools where the children develop their social and individual skills and feels recognised. These children are physically or mentally differently abled requiring special needs.such children have emotions just like you and me.some are exceptionally talented too in music, sports and art.
Friends, let us be more sensitive and understanding to teh world of kids with special needs.
used to attend their cultural programme and their talents make me humble.if you come across such children, who are not enrolled in a school, tell their parents about the special schools.let the kids cherish their childhood!:)

it's Anu signing off........

Friends, each child is unique.let's accept the individual differences.wishing you a relaxing and beautiful weekend, love, hugs n kisses to my chakara vava,

Dear Friends,
A Very Pleasant Evening To One And All!
The foamy waves rolling in the sea and the gentle breeze make me so happy and excited.I just want to lie down on the cool sand and sleep. It's getting dark, but I'm not getting scared. The stars have started twinkling.Just a twinkle in the star shines just for me.Thank you,My Little Star!
I was so eager to get back to you,but guys, work load is increasing  day by day. There were so many to give company,to be with me,to make me cheerful from the stressful period of life.I will not hurt them by saying  mere Thanks or just sending them Thank You mails;they are very dear to me and so close to my heart.God is always kind and considerate. These flowers are the token of my love and gratitude.
''Being a friend is not just sharing a joke,a conversation,a cup of coffee or afunny story. It means sharing an honest and true part of yourself''.

Yesterday I was so busy at the work place and did not notice a young lady waiting for me outside the cabin. After sometime, she came in and introduced herself as Sreema. She was my client and  was so happy to meet me again. The tears of gratitude and joy rolled from her eyes and I hugged her.Sharing the memories  made my day!:)It was a pleasant surprise.
Today is the birth anniversary of Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad,a great visionary, freedom fighter, scholar, secular thinker, eminent educationist and the first Education Minister of Independent India.Educational Institutions across the country celebrate November11 as the National Education Day to commemorate the birthday of Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad. We celebrate this day as National Education Day.

TWISTING YOUR TONGUE WITH WORDS...............

7th,November,2010
 Sunday
Dear Friends,
  Good Evening!
Weather is cool and the dark clouds assure rains. It's lovely and fresh air blows away the blues.
The festival of hoy and happiness-Deepavali-is celebrated in a big way.Diyas are lighted and Akash Kandlis-colourful decorated lamps are hanging in front of the houses in rememberance of departed souls of forefathers.
In my previous posts I have expressed my liking for tongue twisters.Right from childhood tongue twisters make me laugh.I try to learn them fast and retell without a mistake.I used to practise the tongue twisters and when I could say them perfectly,I used to challenge my cousins and friends.:)It was fun and a good time pass.
The world celebrates International Tongue Twisters Day,today.
To get thebest effect of saying a tongue twister,it should be reapeated several times quickly and fluently without mispronouncing.Atongue-twister is a phrase that is designed to be difficult to articulate properly.
The popular tongue -twister,''She sells sea shells on the sea shore''helps to differentiate between 'S' and 'Sh'.The same way,;
Betty bought a bit of butter
but the butter was bitter;
SoBetty bought better butter
To make the bitter butter better.
shows the difference between the sounds 'Be' and 'Bu'.
Previously alphabets were taught directly without giving importance to phonetics but now schools implement the phonetic alphabets like Avocado,Banana and Cherry.
Tongue-twisters are helpful in pronounciation and articlation. For jobs in call centres, employees are trained with tongue twisters.
Some tongue-twisters are short words or phrases, which become tongue-twisters when repeated rapidly. There are tongue-twisters in every language.
The following twister won the grand prize in a contest in Games Magazine in 1979.
Shep Schwab shopped at Scott's Schnapp's shop;
One shot of Scott's Schnapps stopped Schwab's watch.
Tongue twisters  can be in the form of a phrase, sentence or even rhyming poems which are hard to say fast, usually because of alliteration or a sequence of nearly similar sounds. It helps develop speech skills and helps in speech therapy. They have two or three sequences of sounds where some sounds are exchanged to make it confusing.
Any takers for a tricky tongue-twister?

There was a fisherman named Fisher
who fished for some fish in a fissure.
Till a fish a grin, pulled the fisherman in,
Now they're fishing the fissure for Fisher.
Friends,
To celebrate the day,let us practise some tongue twisters. Here's one in Hindi.
Madan,Mohan,Malveya Madras mein machali maarte maarte mare!
It's Anu signing off......
Taking time to instil love and interest for the language is a must,
At the very early years of a child.
Unless we know the tricks and tips,
Children will be spending most of their leisure,
Playing video games and watching cartoons,
Please don't allow that, take time to care.
And tonight before hitting the bed,
Please teach them a simple tongue twister
And then make it a daily habit.
Reminding Anu loves you dil se,
Wishing you  a lovely week ahead,
                            Sasneham,
                                         Anu

Let us do Lakshmi Pooja for prosperity, material abundance n spiritual upliftment.Devi is worshipped to remove troubles that prevent us from starting a spiritual path or business.a special worship is offered to Devi annually on this auspicious day of Diwali.Lord Ganesh is one of the five five prime Hindu deities -Brahma,Vishnu,Shiva and Durga being the other four-whose idolatry is glorified as the Panchayatana Puja.

Planning celebrations one year ahead! cool.and u know what,US President Barack Obama prayed after lighting an oil lamp to celebrate Diwali as Hindu Priest Sri Narayanachar Digalakote recited mantras in the east room of the White House in Washington.great!
saying prayers for the goodness,

thanking GOD for all the smiles n blessings I received,

thanking one and all from sache dil se,dreaming to live with an illuminated mind,:)requesting to light the flame in our hearts and work towards positive living, reminding you to celebarte an eco-friendly Diwali this year as animals undergo stress with noise pollution, appealing you guys to minimise the usage of fire crackers n by using earthern diyas n lamps, using aakash kandeels made from paper instead of plasticn thermacol,by avoiding plastic carry bags to present the gifts in cloth or paper bags, assuring everyone that to be with nature is a great feeling, letting you know that anu celebrates Diwali with all of you,and u know my thoughts do brim with sincerity,be happy as always,

with one and all,

This Diwali, I wish that you are showered with all of them.
